Sven came to BASE from the world of motorcycle racing, and he has been obsessed with speed for many years. Since arriving on the DZ with a single-minded goal to be a WS pilot, he has logged nearly 2000 WS BASE jumps (as of 2018).

He has flown every major brand of wingsuit, and says that once he switched to SQRL, he made a permanent decision. He says that the suits from the C-RACE, FREAK, and C3 series all have ideal stability, ease of use, precision, and flare power for the most demanding wingsuit BASE flights.

Sven is serious about precision flying. His obsession with intentionally grazing bushes and twigs has led to a multi-year project which has seen him complete more target-strikes than any other wingsuit BASE jumper in history. His progression has moved from simple signs, to multiple targets in a row, to even smaller mini-cylinder targets, and now to target-striking instruction, where he coaches experienced WS BASE jumpers who wish to experience one of the more radical segments of proximity flying. Sven has strong feelings about his methods, but he is kind and open and will happily share information and advice with you, including the reasons why he does not fly with an extended helmet camera mount for his target-striking projects. He has completed 93 target strikes (as of May 2018) including double and triple fly-throughs.
